If you communicate with a Shopper during the fulfillment of your order (e.g., for product replacements), we collect the content of those communications.

Any information you choose to post publicly on the Services (e.g., recipes, reviews, or community posts) becomes publicly accessible. Tribl cannot control the actions of third parties who may access this information.

8. Information You Provide About Others:
If you refer a friend, send a gift, or participate in a shared account feature, we may collect the recipient’s name, email, or delivery address. You are responsible for ensuring that you have their consent to share this information.

1.b. Information Collected by Automated Means

When you use and interact with Tribl’s Services, we automatically collect certain information about your device, browser, and activity to enhance functionality, improve user experience, and ensure operational efficiency.

Device and Usage Information

Our servers record information about the device you use to connect to the Services and your interactions with them. This includes:

  • Device information: IP address, device type (e.g., computer, phone, or tablet), browser type and settings, internet service provider, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage details: Frequency and duration of your use of the Services, order-related information, and interaction with features such as tribe formation and delivery tracking.

Browser and Activity Information

We collect information about your activity within the Services, including:

  • Products you engage with, view, or place in your cart.
  • Pages you visit, time spent on each page, and navigation patterns.
  • Interactions with emails, notifications, and marketing materials (e.g., whether you open or click).

If you allow location services on your device, we may collect precise location information. You can manage this by adjusting your device or browser settings or declining location-sharing permissions when prompted by the Tribl app. We may also infer your general location based on your IP address.

We, along with our partners and third-party advertisers, may use device identifiers, cookies, pixels, tags, APIs, SDKs, and similar technologies to collect information when you interact with the Services. These tracking technologies help us:

2.1 Payment Methods and Processors

  • Credit Cards and Other Methods:
    If you pay using a credit card or other methods such as digital wallets (e.g., Google Pay, Apple Pay, FSA/HSA), your payment information is transmitted directly to our payment processors. We may receive certain details from these processors, such as the last four digits of your card number and its expiration date, to facilitate order management and support.
  • Third-Party Payment Partners:
    If you choose to pay through third-party services like PayPal or “Buy Now Pay Later” providers, you will be redirected to their websites or applications to complete the transaction. The privacy policies of these third-party providers apply to the information you share with them. Tribl does not store this information.

If you place an order, your Personal Information is shared with the Shopper fulfilling your delivery. Once the order is completed, the Shopper no longer has access to your data.

We disclose information to retailers for purposes such as order preparation, loyalty programs, and compliance with legal requirements (e.g., alcohol purchases may require sharing your name, delivery address, and government-issued ID details).

4.7 Other Users

Your Personal Information may be visible to other users if:

Tribl prioritizes protecting children’s privacy, especially in the digital space. The Services are not directed to or intended for children under the age of 16. Tribl does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 16. If Tribl becomes aware that such information has been inadvertently collected, it will take reasonable steps to delete it from its records.

Tribl reserves the right to update this policy in the event the platform expands features targeted at families or parental users, ensuring compliance with applicable laws like COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).

b. Marketing Preferences

Users may opt out of promotional emails, push notifications, and text messages via "Account Settings" or by following unsubscribe links in messages. Tribl may still send transactional and administrative communications as required.

c. Access or Delete Personal Information

Users may:

  • Request deletion of Personal Information, subject to legal and operational exceptions.

  • Account holders may log in and submit requests via the Account settings.

Users in eligible states may opt out of information sharing for Behavioral Advertising via privacy settings or browser-based signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC). Opt-out requests limit data sharing but do not prevent users from seeing non-personalized ads.

f. Do Not Track (DNT)

Tribl does not currently respond to DNT signals but continually monitors developments in privacy standards.

13. Disclosures for Residents of California

a. Personal Information Collection and Disclosure

Tribl complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), providing California residents with specific rights. Refer to Section 5 for details on the categories of Personal Information collected, sources, and disclosure practices over the past twelve (12) months.

b. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Tribl may share Personal Information for Behavioral Advertising or analytics. Such activities could be considered a “sale” under California law. Users can opt out via:

  • Your Privacy Choices tools.
  • Browser-based preference signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC) for automatic opt-outs. Ensure each browser or profile is configured individually.

c. Sensitive Personal Information

Sensitive Personal Information is used solely for operational, security, or service-related purposes, including fraud prevention and maintaining service quality. Tribl does not use such information for Behavioral Advertising.

15. Disclosures for Residents of Canada

a. Cross-Border Transfers

Tribl may transfer Personal Information outside Canada (e.g., to the United States). For Quebec residents, this includes transfers outside the province of residence.

b. Automated Decisions

Tribl uses automated tools for purposes like fraud detection. Such tools may result in account deactivation but are designed to safeguard the platform.

c. Access and Deletion Rights

Canadian residents may exercise data rights, including access and deletion requests, as outlined in Your Privacy Choices. Requests by Authorized Agents will follow the verification steps described therein.
